Plant height about 24 to 30 inches. Foilage is dark, making this variety a possible highlight for many places in a mixed border. Bloom is very striking when young, but petals fade to orange with maturity. Needs regular deadheading to retain sharp appearance. Will win at shows, but may need shading or a judge that tolerates immature blooms.
