The Garden of
Mr. Alan Fisher

Alan has promised us more pictures of his garden at the end of this season. In the meantime, we thought you might like to see a few of his blooms.

Kenora Sunset

B (6 to 8 inches)

Semi-Cactus

Flame

Kenora Sunset was the best B dahlia in my garden in 1997. It also won Senior Grand Champion at the Virginia Dahlia Show in that same year. It is very prolific bloomer and subsequent sets of blooms kept the size and quality. Perhaps because it is so prolific, I find that Kenora Sunset needs more nitrogen than most dahlias. It is a very poor tuber maker for me...Alan Fisher

Light Blend (Lavender/White)

Mingus Gregory is listed as Semi-Cactus, but incurves for me and is borderline Semi-Cactus or Incurved Cactus. It is one of numerous excellent new Mingus introductions...Alan Fisher
