Hi folks – PLEASE READ THIS INTRODUCTION - IMPORTANT
INFO
We’re back once more for the 2008 dahlia season and
this year I’m starting out with a word of warning to all who plan to order
from us. Last year we Sold Out very quickly on many varieties and some
customers were disappointed to find that their orders had several varieties
marked “Sold Out” when their tubers arrived. Since we are a “mom and
pop” operation – really mostly just the “mom” part, we don’t plant a ton of
tubers for each variety we offer. I fill orders on a first come, first
served basis and when the tubers run out, there are no more to be
found. I’ve disappointed relatives, friends, neighbors, repeat
customers and new dahlia buyers alike – I’m an equal opportunity
disappointer, I guess. I don’t like having unhappy customers and I’ve
been fortunate that most of you are the forgiving sort and have even had some
wonderful compliments for which I am grateful. All that being said,
please, please heed the warning and get your order in as quickly as you
can. Trust me when I say that if you allow substitutions, I will do my very
best to sub a similar variety (I do try hard to sub within the same
classification and color of the ordered variety) of equal or higher cost or
will abide by your suggested substitutions as best I am able. I won’t
take your money and send you a cheaper variety from the list – I just don’t
operate like that, period. On the Elimination List sellouts I will
substitute from the Elimination List in most cases but I may simply refund
your money for the Sold Out variety. PLEASE check for sellouts before
sending in your order form. Our webmaster tries hard to get current
availability changes posted promptly. If you opt not to allow
substitutes, your money for the Sold Out variety will be refunded – we don’t
just credit your account. I won’t send what I wouldn’t personally
plant. There will always be at least 1 bonus tuber (maybe more) with
each order, our choice of varieties but these won’t be trash varieties
either.

the listings.
I do want to thank all of those wonderful customers
– both first timers and repeat ones as well - for the chance to share the
wonderful world of dahlias with you. It is a pleasure and a privilege to
